Innovation in Education and beyond : last meeting
From 08 to 13 June, we hosted the final meeting of our Erasmus project “Innovation in education…and beyond” with our partners from EIS Barcelona and Werner Von Siemens Bad Harzburg: 13 Spanish pupils and 10 German pupils, accompanied by teachers. Our students visited Bad Harzburg in January and the EIS of Barcelona in May. All were hosting in families.
The theme developed was “education in the city”. How to make the link between a visit to a city and the classroom. To do this, we visited Lille, of course, which gave us the opportunity to show our city, but also Paris, where we are on the eiffel tower driveway visited the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame. The aim was to use the monuments to create an exercise to present in class, in a city so rich in history and art, but more complex for the sciences. All under a summer sun, and more than 30 degrees. Beforehand, the students researched the various sites and monuments along the route, and the results of their work were presented to the whole group on the last day of the event.
The work was carried out and presented in English, by tri-national teams. The meeting ended with sports activities (climbing, basketball, badminton), supervised by two PE teachers, Mr Bonnet and Mr Lamour.
A new project and long-term exchanges are already planned for next year between our three schools.
Many thanks to Anastasia FETNAN and Matthias HUMEAU for their participation in the project
